The Objectives of The Strategic Supplier Relationships Group

1.	To be seen as the major source of knowledge & information about Relationships with ‘Strategic Suppliers’
2.	Foster a professional approach to SSR among members and suppliers with best practice and educational activities
3.	Stimulate a robust methodology for SSR among reputable professional bodies
4.	Provide events that maintain customer attention. Where appropriate using output from events place comments in media.
5.	Act as a forum through which member organisations wish to raise perceived generic issues in an orderly fashion with and through suppliers
6.	Raise SSR matters with business leaders
7.	Foster rationalisation of Terms and Conditions and practices in the UK IT industry
8.	Provide an effective leadership role in dealing with generic issues in a multi-vendor environment
9.	Provide a preferred channel capable of win-win for suppliers to seek early customer feedback on propositions
